Paypanda commits to handle the Personal Information of those transacting through this service through adhering and abiding by the guidelines imposed by Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

Data Privacy Policy

PayPanda adheres to and abides by the guidelines imposed by Republic Act No. 10173, or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (the “Data Privacy Act”). In particular, these are PayPanda’s commitments to its customers (under the Data Privacy Act) with respect to the handling of Personal Information:

Scope of Data Needed

The customer’s personal information, as required for the processing of payment with the government agency or private company concerned, shall be limited to the following data (the data required to be provided would differ on a case-to case basis and depending on the client’s specifications): customer’s name, address, date of birth, account number, contact number, and pertinent ID details.


PayPanda only processes the pertinent personal information details for the purpose of ascertaining the customer’s identity, and to verify that the payment details provided are truthful and/or accurate. The information provided by the customer are encoded in PayPanda’s secure payment system and subsequently transmitted to the biller agency/company, so the payment and customer details are properly posted to effect payment (provided all fields are correctly filled out by the customer). PayPanda may also use the gathered data for the following purposes: (1) PayPanda’s Push Notification feature for its updates and advisories; (2) PayPanda’s existing loyalty and promotional schemes for its regular customers; and (3) customer’s access to their transaction/s history, as may be requested.

Secure Database

PayPanda uses a secure database platform to ensure that its collated data are kept safe and the storage platform not easily breached. PayPanda has the mechanisms and technologies in place to assure its customers that their personal information are safe from being illegally obtained by unauthorized persons. The personal information gathered will not be disclosed to third parties without the express consent of the customer concerned, except when specifically mandated by lawful authority.

Customer Undertaking

When a customer subscribes to PayPanda’s payment platform, he/she guarantees that: (1) he/she has read and fully understood that he/she is voluntarily disclosing the pertinent personal information to PayPanda, and that PayPanda is given the authority to use the information provided in order to process payment, and for other relevant purposes; (2) that he/she has read PayPanda’s Data Privacy Statement and subscribes to the provisions/statements contained therein; and (3) that the information he/she has provided are truthful and accurate, to the best of his/her knowledge, pursuant to existing laws and regulations.
